We advise sturdy footwear and suitable clothing for outdoor events. There will be a £2 admission
charge for indoor events unless stated otherwise.

JULY


Sun 11 July - An Afternoon Walk at Auchtermuchty Common

Kate Morison and Gordon Corbet will lead this outing to look at the flowers, birds, butterflies and other insects.

Sat 24 July - A Visit to Three SWT Reserves in Fife

A day’s outing to Barnyards Marsh, Fleecefaulds Meadow and Bankhead Moss by coach or cars. If numbers are sufficient, a coach will start in Kinross. Break for lunch (BYO or Buy) in Ceres.

Sun 8 August - Cullaloe Open Day

Guided walks, nature trail, pond dipping and much more!

Fri 13 August - Moths and Bats at Bankhead Moss

Tim Brain will lead an outing to trap and identify moths. We will also try to identify bats using a detector. This will be weather dependent so phone if in doubt about the conditions.

Sun 15 August - Walk at Holl Reservoir in the Lomond Hills

Alison Irvine will lead this walk to explore the area around the reservoir.

Sat 28 August - Cullaloe Bat Detecting

9.00 pm – 10.30 pm, meet at Cullaloe Reserve, near Aberdour (NT 186 878). Contact Janie McNeil 07590 590382.


SEPTEMBER


Sat 4 September - Walk from Vane Farm to Loch Leven’s Larder.
This 3 hour level walk along the lochside will be led by Prof David Munro, a geographer and historian.
10.30am meet at Vane Farm. (NT 160 990) Return transport to Vane Farm will be arranged. Contact

OCTOBER


Sun 10 October - Fungal Foray
On this walk in the woodland bordering the Tay, Tony Wilson, Fife Coast & Countryside Ranger, will
look at a variety of fungi to be found in this area.

Wed 20 October – The Greenbelt Trust
Joint meeting with the Pitcairn Society.
This will be an illustrated talk to explain the work of the Greenbelt Trust.
7.30pm Lomond Centre, Glenrothes.


NOVEMBER


Wed 3 November - An Open invitation to wildlife
AGM followed by an illustrated talk by Steve Isaac, Director of Golf Course Management, R&A. The talk
will focus on the efforts made each year to encourage, protect and raise awareness of the wildlife at
their nine Open venues (no admission charge).
7.30pm The Cupar St Johns and Dairsie Church Hall, Bonnygate, Cupar.


DECEMBER


Wed 1 December - Dumbarnie Links : a Microcosm of Life on Earth.
Dr Gordon Corbet, reserve convenor, will give an illustrated talk on the range of life at this SWT
reserve.
7.30pm St Andrews Town Hall.
